Brazil 1998 Home - Ronaldo Socks
US 7 – 13 | UK 6-12 | EU 41 - 47
Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima was a proper phenomenon. Too quick for defenders, goalkeepers, and even cameramen, R9 was deadlier than anything you can find on the island prison called Australia. In 1998 alongside the likes of Cafu, Carlos, Romario, Dunga, and co, he helped Brazil to the 1998 Fifa World Cup final, where they met their match in the form of Zizou’s France in the final. Despite the loss, Ronaldo still picked up the Golden Ball award for his efforts.
The ’90s was an odd time for football kits. Crazy design, nipple chaffing material, and emerging technologies only added to this. Nike took it upon themselves to refine and restrain the Brazil 98 kit. This kit was the first that Nike decided to try and perfect a neckline for comfort for the wearer. Clean seams, a simple design with green piping, and a focus on lightweight material, Nike used this kit as a statement to change the trajectory of kits.
Despite Ronaldo & co not taking the Word Cup home, many a fan took this kit home as it was something special. Similar to the kit, these socks are also something special. I can’t guarantee you’ll be able to round keepers on the daily, but I can guarantee you’ll be the envy of everyone who sets eyes on them. These socks have been made in partnership with Classic Football Shirts and are made with combed cotton meaning they're breathable and are perfect for every occasion. They feature a zoned cushioned design and arch support to provide a snug and comfortable fit.
