The 1998 FIFA World Cup was the first and only time that Jamaica has played at a World Cup. The affectionately nicknamed “Reggae Boyz” turned up in style. Draped in a bright yellow, green and black home kit, with the away as the reverse, they marched into stadiums like the Parc des Princes and Stade Gerland, ready for battle.

Even though they didn’t make it through to the Round of 16, the Reggae Boyz did manage to grab their first win against Japan. With Whitmore banging in a brace either side of half time, the final whistle caused the Boyz to explode with joy.

Jamaica haven’t been to a World Cup since, but that doesn’t mean their doesn’t come into conversation every time a World Cup comes around. In light of this, we decided to make sure their legacy lasts even longer. With the help of Classic Football Shirts, we’ve made some banging socks. These socks are made with combed cotton meaning they're breathable and are perfect for every occasion. They feature a zoned cushioned design and arch support to provide a snug and comfortable fit.
